Love (mahabba) for people arises from three characteristics: 1) their physical outward beauty,2) their inward beautiful character, and 3) the good or the sacrifice they do for us. To increase and maintain his love for the Prophet Muhammad,s,Sayyidina Hassan (the Prophet's grandson) sought descriptions of all three of these aspects of the Prophet because he ?wanted something to hold on to. Adding his own commentary to these intimate descriptions, Shaykh Hamza, with his usual eloquence, passionately relates what Sayyidina Hassan gathered about the Beloved of Allah,s.Shaykh Hamza says, If you knew what the Prophet did for you, you would fall in love with him and explains that mahabba grows like a seed. For those who desire to fall in love with the Beloved of Allah, this talk is for them.
On Celebrating The Prophet's Birthday One of the calamities of religions is when the Messenger becomes exalted over the One who sent him. We do not believe the Prophet Muhammad is divine. We have been given the gift of understanding the Messenger in relation to the One who sent him.
Prophet Muhammad (sws) is central to teachings of Islam. You cannot exalt the Creator without exalting His Messenger, and you cannot exalt His Message without exalting His Messenger. We are commanded by God to magnify the Prophet s.
Shaykh Hamza Yusuf eloquently explains why we must celebrate the Prophet every day of our lives. He also adds at the end an elucidating explanation of how Muslims should emulate the behavior the Prophet Muhammad s had during trying times, reminding us that Prophet (s) taught, The believer is one from whose evil humanity is safe and that he was sent only as a mercy to everyone.

Abu Hurairah(R) narrated that the messenger(P) of Allah said :
"Let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day either speak good or keep silent, and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his neighbour, and let him who believes in Allah and the Last Day be generous to his guest."

HOLY QURAN 107 The Daily necessaries In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
1. Have you considered him who calls the judgment a lie?
2. That is the one who treats the orphan with harshness,
3. And does not urge (others) to feed the poor.
4. So woe to the praying ones,
5. Who are unmindful of their prayers,
6. Who do (good) to be seen,
7. And withhold the necessaries of life.

HOLY QURAN Surah 104 The Slanderer In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.
1. Woe to every slanderer, defamer,
2. Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap);
3. He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
4. Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster,
5. And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is?
6. It is the fire kindled by Allah,
7. Which rises above the hearts.
8. Surely it shall be closed over upon them,
9. In extended columns.

A Sahaba (companion of the prophet) named Safina,
who was freed by The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him)'s wife, Ummu Salama
(may Allah be pleased with her), and served the Prophet loyally, was captured
by disbelievers during the war against the Romans.
He escaped from them and on
his way back he met an astonishing lion.
He told the lion he was the servant
of Muhammad (peace be upon him) and what had happened to him.
The lion rubbed
himself on Safina and said, "Walk with me!" They walked together
until Muslim soldiers were seen.
Then, the lion left him.

of Noise and Clamour:
2. What is the (Day)
of Noise and Clamour?
3. And what will explain
to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is?
4. (It is) a Day whereon
men will be like moths scattered about,
5. And the mountains
will be like carded wool.
6. Then, he whose balance
(of good deeds) will be (found) heavy,
7. Will be in a life
of good pleasure and satisfaction.
8. But he whose balance
(of good deeds) will be (found) light,-
9. Will have his home
in a (bottomless) Pit.
10. And what will explain
to thee what this is?
11. (It is) a Fire Blazing

Iblis( devil) became desperate. He consulted his helpers, but they could not advise
him. They asked : "How is it that your cleverness cannot work against
Job, yet you succeeded in misleading Adam the father of man, out of
Paradise?"
Iblis
went to Job's wife in the form of a man. "Where is your husband?"
he asked her.
She
pointed to an almost lifeless form crumbled on the bed and said: "There
he is, suspended between life and death."
Iblis
reminded her of the days, when Prophet Job(p) had good health, wealth and children.
Suddenly, the painful memory of years of hardship overcame her, and she burst
into tears. She said to Job: "How long are you going to bear this
torture from our Lord? Are we to remain without wealth, children or friends
forever? Why don't you call upon Allah to remove this suffering?"
Job(p)
sighed, and in a soft voice replied : "Iblis must have whispered to you
and made you dissatisfied. Tell me how long did I enjoy good health and
riches?"
She
replied: "80 years."
Then
Job(p) replied: "How long am I suffering like this?"
She
said: "7 years."
Job
(p)then told her: "In that case I am ashamed to call on my Lord to remove
the hardship, for I have not suffered longer than the years of good health
and plenty. It seems your faith has weakened and you are dissatisfied with
the fate of Allah. If I ever regain health, I swear I will punish you with a
hundred strokes! From this day onward, I forbid myself to eat or drink
anything by your hand. Leave me alone and let my Lord do with me as He
pleases."
Crying
bitterly and with a heavy heart, she had no choice but to leave him and seek
shelter elsewhere. In this helpless sate, Job turned to Allah, not to
complain but to seek His mercy: "Verily! distress has seized me and You
are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy." so We answered his
call, and we removed the distress that was on him, and We restored his family
to him (that he had lost), and the like thereof along with them as a mercy
from Ourselves and a Reminder for all who worship Us." (Ch 21:83-84)
Almighty
Allah also instructed: "Remember Our slave Job, when he invoked His Lord
saying: "Verily! Satan has touched me with distress (by losing my
health) and torment (by losing my wealth)!" Allah said to him:
"Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in
and cool and a refreshing drink." And We gave him back his family, and
along with them the like thereof as a Mercy from Us, and a reminder for those
who understand. (Ch 38:41-43)
Job
obeyed and almost immediately his good health was restored. Meanwhile, his
faithful wife could not longer bear to be parted from her husband and
returned to him to beg his forgiveness, desiring to serve him. On entering
her house, she was amazed at the sudden change: Job was again healthy! She
embraced him and thanked Allah for His mercy.
Job(p)
was not worried, for he had taken an oath to punish her with a hundred
strokes if he had regained health but he had no desire to hurt her. He knew
if he did not fulfill the oath, he would be guilty of breaking a promise to
Allah. Therefore in His wisdom and mercy, Allah came to the assistance of His
faithful servant and advised him: "take in your hand a bundle of thin
grass and strike therewith your wife, and break not your oath." Truly!
We found him patient. How excellent a slave! Verily, he was ever oft
returning in repentance to Us!" (Ch 38:44)
Abu
Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad
(pbuh) said: "While Job was naked, taking a bath, a swarm of gold
locusts fell on him, and he started collecting them in his garment. His Lord
called him: "O Job! Have I not made you too rich to need what you
see?" He said: "Yes, My Lord! But I cannot shun Your
Blessings." (Al Bukhari)

Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: When the Messenger of Allah(Muhammad)
(PBUH) and his Companions reached Al-Hijr, the dwellings of the Thamud people,
he admonished his Companions (saying), "Do not
pass by these people who are being tormented, without weeping, lest the
punishment should befall you as it had befallen them.'' [Al-Bukhari and Muslim].
Another narration is: Ibn `Umar (May Allah be pleased with
them) said: When the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) passed near Al-Hijr, he
said, "Do not enter without weeping, the
dwellings of those who wronged themselves, lest the same chastisement should
fall upon you as it had fallen upon them.'' Messenger of
Allah (PBUH) then covered his head and sped up until he crossed the valley of
the tormented people.
Commentary: The Thamud were the people to whose guidance
Allah sent Prophet Salih. They lived between Al-Madinah and Syria( Petra).
In 10 A.H.
when the Prophet (PBUH) went to the Syrian border for the Tabuk expedition, he
also passed through this ruined territory.
This Hadith is related to the address
which he gave to his Companions on the occasion. Here is an instruction that
when we happen to pass through the territory of a nation destroyed in the past
as a result of Divine wrath, we are advised to quicken one's pace. That is why
we have been commanded to avoid the company of the corrupt and the wrongdoers,
lest we meet their bad end, too. As the Qur'an says:
"And incline not toward those who do wrong, lest
the Fire should touch you.'' (11:113) NOTE : THE ABOVE PHOTOS ARE ACTUAL RUINS OF Thamud PEOPLE ALSO KNOWN AS PETRA

Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of
Allah( Muhammad) (PBUH) said,
"When a slave's (Human) child dies,
Allah the Most High asks His angels, `Have you taken out the life of the child
of My slave?" They reply in the affirmative. He then asks, `Have you taken the
fruit of his heart?' They reply in the affirmative. Thereupon he asks, `What has
My slave said?' They say: ` He has praised You and said: Inna lillahi wa inna
ilaihi raji`un (We belong to Allah and to Him we shall be returned).
Allah says:
`Build a house for My slave in Jannah ( Paradise)and name it as Bait-ul-Hamd (the House of
Praise).''' [At-Tirmidhi].
Commentary: This Hadith points out the eminence of
patience and the merit of praising Allah in the event of a calamity, especially
on the death of one's own child. Rather than weeping and wailing, one should
submit himself to the Will of Allah and show perseverance. Such attitude of
patience and resignation is highly meritorious and has great reward.

Jabir bin Abdullah ( a companion and disciple of Prophet Muhammad(s) ) (may Allah be pleased with him) cooked
a sheep. The Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) and his Companions ate it.
He
said: "Do not break its bones!" The Prophet gathered the bones and
put his holy hands upon them and prayed that the sheep be brought to life.
Allah heard his prayer and revived the dead sheep

Prophet Hud( p) tried to speak to them and to explain about Allah's
blessings: how Allah the Almighty had made them Noah's successors, how
He had given them strength and power, and how HE sent them rain to
revive the soil.
Hud's people looked about them and found they were the
strongest on earth, so they become prouder and more obstinate. Thus
they argued a lot with Hud. They asked "O Hud! Do you say that later we
die and turn into dust, we will be resurrected?" He replied, "Yes, you
will come back on the Day of Judgment and each of you will be asked
about what you did."
A peal of laughter was heard after the last statement. "How strange
Hud's claims are!" The disbelievers muttered among themselves. They
believed that when man dies his body decays and turns into dust, which
is swept away by the wind. How could that return to its original state?
Then what is the significance of the Day of Judgment? Why does the dead
return to life?
All these questions were patiently received by Hud. He
then addressed his people concerning the Day of Judgment. he explained
that belief in the Day of Judgment is essential to Allah's justice,
teaching them the same thing that every prophet taught about it.
Hud(p) explained that justice demands that there be a Day
of Judgment because good is not always victorious in life. Sometimes
evil overpowers good. Will such crimes go unpunished? If we suppose
there is no Day of Judgment, then a great injustice will have
prevailed, but Allah has forbidden injustice to be incurred by Himself
or His subjects. Therefore, the existence of the Day of Judgment, a day
of accounting for our deeds and being rewarded or punished for them,
reveals the extend of Allah's justice. Hud(p) spoke to them about all of
these things. They listened but disbelieved him.
Allah recounts his people's attitude towards the Day of Judgment: "The
chiefs of his people, whom disbelieved and denied the meeting in the
Hereafter, and to who We had given the luxuries and comforts of this
life, said: "He is no more than a human being like you, he eats of that
which you eat, and drinks of what you drink. If you were to obey a
human being like yourselves then verily! You indeed would be losers.
Does he promise you that when you have died and have become dust and
bones, you shall come out alive (resurrected)? Far, very far, is that
which you are promised. There is nothing but our life of this world! We
die and we live! We are not going to be resurrected! He is only a man
who has invented a lie against Allah, but we are not going to believe
in him." (Ch 23:33-38 Quran)
the chiefs of Hud's people asked: "IS it not strange that Allah's chooses one of us to reveal His message to?"
Hud(p) replied: "What is strange in that? Allah wants to
guide you to the right way of life, so HE sent me to warn you. Noah's
flood and his story are not far away from you, so do not forget what
happened. All the disbelievers were destroyed, no matter how strong
they were."
"Who is going to destroy us Hud?" the chiefs asked.
"Allah." replied Hud.
The disbelievers among his people answered: "We will be saved by our gods."
Hud(p) clarified to them that the gods they worshipped
would be the reason for their destruction, that it is Allah alone Who
saves people, and that no other power on earth can benefit or harm
anyone.

The Most Beautiful One has shed His beauty in the nature so that we the poor ones can have a glimpse of His beauty.
Generous
is the Beautiful one who gifted these pair of eyes to generously
display His beauty For what cause are my unworthy eyes given such a
feast to gaze upon His beauty
For fit to be burned are these sinful
eyes of mine yet my Lord was the ever forgiving and ever generous One .
